Instead of quitting, he said, “I have not failed 700 times. I’ve succeeded in proving 700 ways how not to build a lightbulb.” If we consistently work toward our goals despite a few failures, we will eventually achieve them.
So, retraining our thoughts after a failure will make all the difference. Instead of thinking, “I messed up,” try thinking, “I learned something.” Shifting your mindset helps you see challenges as opportunities to grow.
Mindset affects our actions, and our actions affect our results. That’s why thinking positively about our ability to achieve is directly linked to reaching goals. Once you reach your smaller goals, celebrate. Acknowledge and celebrate every win—even if it’s just completing one assignment —will help you keep going. Each step builds momentum and confidence!

3. Don’t be Afraid to Fail
Fear of failure can be paralyzing, but we can never achieve our goals if we allow it to keep us from trying. The fear of failure can be one of the most potent forces holding us back. Whether it’s the fear of not being good enough, making mistakes, or disappointing others, this fear can be so overwhelming that it stops us from even starting. We convince ourselves it’s safer not to try than to risk failing—and in doing so, we unknowingly choose to stay stuck in the same place.
Truth is, failure is not the end—it’s usually the thing that helps us grow. Every successful person has faced failure in some form and learned from it. They will tell you that their greatest lessons came from moments when things didn’t go as planned.
