A prescriptive test is an optional assessment you can take at the start of a course, before any lessons begin. When you sign up for a qualifying class, you have the chance to take this pre-exam to see what you already know.

The test checks the main topics for the whole subject, like Algebra, U.S. History, Biology, or English. Here’s how it works:

1. Take the Optional Diagnostic Test: Before you start your course work, take a supervised (proctored) prescriptive test online.
